Dagger board hole plug

Is this thing even worth keeping around?  Does not using it cause THAT much water intrusion if the dagger board isn't being used?  Thanks

Are you talking about using it with or without the sail?  I can see its value when sailing but can't think of any value when just peddling.  But you do pose an interesting question.  Any input out there from long time AI'ers?

Keep the dagger board plug in. It's main value is to prevent smaller lures and fishing tackle from going to the bottom.

I was thinking about times when I use the AI in kayak mode without the sail.  When sailing, I'll likely have the dagger board in use or ready for use.
