Flemmish Cap, 8 am launch, about a 3-4' NW swell & barely showing S swell, glassy.  Had that fall chill in the air. Magic "Dorado" colored fishtrap.  Score 4-6 Lings 28"-24" possible 1 @ 30"ish.  Landed 4 Lings, kept the 28"incher.  2 Lings I lost at the surface, 1 possibly was 30"ish.  15-20 Blacks, 4 Gophers, etc., etc. No Vermillions.

One 26" Ling went bizerk at the surface & went on a good 30 yard run straight down, pretty impressive.  An aluminum skiff w/ 2 guys were catching Lings left & right.  Saw one 30"+incher boated.

Don't have my camera, but so you don't feel cheated attached is a pic from another cap session, very similar size fish.

Alright, if you're going to persist in this "Flemmish Cap" business I'm going to have to rename my favorite fishin' hole the "Outer Banks"

depends how the conditions are there.  there's a lot of similarities between the fictitious & real Flemish Caps'.  there's a good book called the "Ocean Almanac" it's got 1000 pages of short stories about the ocean.
