Yeah, my wife mentions it every time she hears about another death. I told her I used rope to get down rocks the other day and she wasn't happy.

I pray for the divers family.  Its difficult no matter how someone dies. The ones on the water are just a little closer to home.

What a shame  :smt009

I wonder if they knew that conditions were not going to be favorable for diving.

Condolences to his family

A good day to stay ashore.  Van Damme was rougher than I've ever seen it.  Two to three foot visibility according to several that went out for abs.  Spent several hours on the beach watching the Coast Guard Helo flying back and forth, yard sales at the surf line and the kayak tourist NOT attempting the caves.  I can definitely understand someone getting in trouble under today's conditions.

According to this he hasn't been recovered yet. Does anyone know a more recent status?
