Long story short, my SD Card got ran over.
One indentation in the upper corner is preventing anything from reading the card. All the pins are fine.
I put the card in my Optio and the camera won't even turn on. It will turn on with a different SD card and will turn on with no SD card but will not turn on with the damaged SD card.
Anyone know if there is a way to recover the data in the card?
I have over 300 pics and 27 videos on the card that I would desperately like to recover.
All the pics and Videos are of NCKA at Brewfest.
Some of the pics and videos are HILARIOUS and will surely embarrass most of us.

My guess is the board is cracked. Short of taking it apart and fixing the connection maybe you can bend it and see if you can get it to read temporarily.

How handy are you with a soldering iron? Chances are one of the wire trace broke. The chips themselves are fairly sturdy. So open it up and look at it under a magnify glass. Then repair the broken trace. If you want you can send it to me and I will take a shot at repairing it for you. Or you can send it to a data recovery company and pay them to recover it for you.

Maybe remove the PCB from the broken jacket and swap it with another good jacket.

It very well could be just a solder break.   It also could have just corrupted the file system and if it can be recognized at a drive level a photo recovery program can recover them.  It may not show up while looking at drives on computer, but look at it under hard drive management and see if it is visible.  If visible it may be recovered with some cheap software.  Some will let you try the product before buying.

If you verify it can not be recognized by operating system of a computer and don't feel comfortable opening it or spending big dollars on repair. Take up someone's offer to help but be aware it may never work again. Sd cards are fragile and a short could mess with the data and make the data unreadable.

I have done these repairs, but do to injuries can't perform repairs on items that small because I can't keep my hand from shaking.

I opened the SD card and figure I'm pretty much screwed.
It's nothing the like pic Caleb posted.
Looks more like a mini SD card inside.
It's cracked all the way across, so my initial thought about the little divot in the card being the problem was incorrect.
I'll still mess with it a bit....who knows, maybe I'll get lucky??
I appreciate all the suggestions and offers. Thanks.

DO NOT DO THAT!!! You will just damage the PCB further and break more traces!
