My bday is coming up and I was thinking of asking for Navionics Gold chart for my Humminbird 688Ci HD and I was wondering if it is worth the money they ask for ($190). I mainly would like to use it to locate reefs, structures around SC, HMB, Monterey. Any inputs will be appreciated.
Thanks
JC

Get the Platinum, skip the gold.

Platinum is not compatible with the Humminbird 688Ci. Are you recommending that Frenchie get a new finder?

Platinum is compatible with a very limited number of finders. With Lowrance for example it only works with their HDS models.
