I was at the Discount Bay Tackle Mart in San Pablo on Wed, and the owner said he was on a party boat on the Bay last weekend and only one halibut was caught on the whole boat :smt009 .  Just then, some guy walked in the shop and said that eleven halibut had been caught on the Berkeley Pier that day (May 4), and he had personally hooked four but only landed one bc his gear wasn't good for pier fishing. He brought in  :smt003 fish for a pic.
