san diego area hotels

I am going to be in SD in a month and was looking for opinions on places to stay. Suggestions and/or experiences.

brian, when i go down there i stay on rosecrans, its near the landing and maybe you could do some day trips on the boats: O )

The easy eight is on the 8/5 junction which is right next to mission bay and just north of san diego bay.  A bit south of la jolla, but an easy drive.

Cheap.  No frills.

When will you be there Brian?

I will be down there october 20th - 23rd. Will be going to the zoo 1 day, sea world another and then on the water the final day.
