That's pretty amazing though. I can't imagine being that close to a whale - what an experience.  Sad that rescues like that are necessary, and even worse, how many entangled whales go unnoticed until its too late.

That must have been exhilarating!   

Try that in US waters and probably get slapped with a fine or jail time for tampering with a whale, even it if meant saving the poor thing that was tangled in mankinds worse invention.
