I know a few of you go backpacking. Any of you ever go to the Trinity Alps. I go almost every year and love it up there. My partner bailed on me this year. If anyone is up for it let me know.

Looking at leaving Thursday evening august 7th...hiking in the 8th and staying 6-7 days. I am open for what trail. Nothing very flat in trinity. I'm old so I don't go to fast or far in a day. Look up stoney creek trail. Siligo meadows and the four lakes loop. The persiod sp?meteor shower is that weekend and is pretty bad ass up there. Lots of lakes and great fishing.

Hike doesn't look that bad at all.  Let me see what August holds for me and I'll let you know.  I recently upgraded my backpack, tent, and sleeping bag just for trips like this.

This sounds like an awesome trip! Fly fishing that area seems the way to go!

Fly fishing rocks up there. So do panther Martin's.  This trail offers the best wildflower show on the planet
