I hit Lake Berryessa this AM in search of kokanee chrome.  I launched at Oak Shores and headed out to the Big Island where I stayed most of the day.  I trolled from 40-55 feet with all the usual colors and lure types.  I didn’t see a lot of marks but my fish finder failed in the first 20 minutes, AGAIN, and only started working later in the day.  Around 9:30 I scored a 15 1/2 inch kok at 55 feet on a green hoochie.  There were about 20 boats working the area but the radio was very quiet.  After a few hours I tried for some bass behind the Big Island but no love there……but I don’t know shit about bass fishing anyway!!  I ended the day at 1:30 with only the one kok but a good workout.  A few photos for your approval…

The FF did work....but only briefly.

The only volunteer today.'

The WX was pretty calm and warm.

Thanks for the report. I guess top lining is no longer productive this time of year. I'd like to try for kokes some day.

Last time I hit the lake the bass were hitting everything. Crankbaits, spinnerbaits were the top producer for me and also robo worms. South in caple were all smallies and one  largemouth. North was all largemouth for me on spinnerbaits.
