Also good refresher videos for those with experience. Some referenced settings are specific to Canon, but the explanation of various aspects of taking pictures applies to all cameras.

Thanks, Howard. The tips help.
The Auto Contrast you applied to my cetacean pics made a big diff, too. I don't use PhotoShop a lot & find it a bit of a PITA so that's a good tool.
