There is no fee to launch at discovery park. Just make sure your car is parked outside of the boat area just outside the gates after you're done unloading!

Yea But he's talking about Discovery Bay not Discovery Park. If you use the ramp they will want to charge you. If you use the rocks they cant I think anzcowman has the right place but wrong name but true park outside the gate cause they lock it up.
I believe you can wheel your yak on the dock without paying and launch from there.

You can use the ramp at Discovery Bay, just don't drive your car to the ramp.  Pick a parking spot and wheel your kayak down the ramp.  Nice restrooms over in the shopping area.  Just make sure to not block any cars that are using the ramp, that way we get to keep using it for free.  Have fun!
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

There's dock access behind marinate grill im sure if your not in a pa you could just toss your yak over the side
My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

That must be new because I have been launching there for free for a couple years now.  Last time was in January.
