Just booked for the 16th of May passage for two. Eldest graduating the 17th so thought I would take a charter and catch fresh fish for BBQ. Taking a newby with me. other daughters boyfriend, and I guess I'll see what he's made of since he's never been on the ocean before. Was going to Yak fish but not with someone with no experience.
So booked two for the Seaweasel ll out of Eureka. web site: fullthrottlefishing.com.
Anyone have any experience with this outfit? Looking for rockfish/halibut I believe season opens on the 15th.

You should be going for salmon with a rockfish/halibut fallback, IMO.

Gary Blasi is very popular, his new boat (Seaweasel II) is badass, and his guide/charter service is definitely one of the top if not the best in Humboldt.

Have fun.

Thanks Eric. Having only booked out of bay I am so use to being booked with 20 others. I was impressed to hear that these guys up north only book 6 at a time. Looks like I will be leaving my gear home, except a perch/trout rod just in case ;), since he has some nice gear explaining 300' depth for Hali's. Now I hear this from you I am fired up.

Get 'em Frankie.  As far as the daughter's boyfriend goes, he better be on his best behavior. Occasionally. them boats come back missing passengers. You know what i mean Frankie?   :smt002
