How does yours hang?

How far from the kayak does your downrigger line hang. The farther away the more instability. Too close may lead to line or kayak damage. Where is yours?

To the left, waters cold and deep too 

Close enough to not be far away, and far enough to not be too close.

I run my downrigger line right next to my kayak.
I run a homemade setup where my downrigger tip is almost touching the water.

Close to the boat, I'd say mine enters the water within 2 inches or so of the yak.
