Moutcha Bay Resort 2006 Kayak Fishing Derby, Sept 2-4

Actually,one guy " Al " Stole 1st, 2nd, 3rd, but I did catch the most,  They had a good pot luck up there also

Ya, I won a prize for " most technally advanced kayak " A case of 10w30 oil ( gave it to snag-a-butt ) and a kool small camp light.

You know it Eh... Got all kinds of Salmon blood all over that yak, Ya know,.. Eh..?.. Using my Canadian Fish Bonker I Thumped them well, ya know.. Eh..?.. Man,  I love the way they talk up there. Really made me feel relaxed and like I was some where new and cool. Guess I'll have to rent Stange Brew and get my fix...." Eh?"

By the way, you do know a giant tyee killed your net!!! Kool thing is it will be on the dvd being made by the resort..Let me know the damage

Darn!  That net is new and had only landed one other fish before this trip.

So I exchanged some emails with the owner of Moutcha.  He's thinking about running some multi-day camping/kayak/fishing trips to the outside of Nootka Island.  Anyone interested in such a trip?   Not a lot of details as of yet, but if there is enough interest I can follow up with him.

I'll give ya a call about how to settle the net, new...I would not buy another one like that, I might have done something wrong, I don't know.  I lifted the Monster to the boat by grabing the outside ring, fearing that it might bend the net, and , well, it bent it like tinfoil. Bummer was, the remnants of the net were " liberated " by someone/something at the launch. I'm sure they must have thought it was up for grabs .
