YIKES! :smt002

Free Manual PDF Download here:
http://www.lowrance.com/Root/Lowrance-Documents/LMS-337CDF_0156-071_121704.pdf

Battery .... 7-9Ah (garage door opener battery, etc...)

One of those transducers is bound to go with it.  Start with the manual for some diagrams of how to plug stuff together.  I would "bench test" it by hooking it up to power.  The power cord will plug into the plug marked 'Power' on the back of the head unit.  Same goes for 'Transducer/Sonar'.  The plugs are oposite so you can't plug it into the wrong socket.  If you hook it up right on a bench, you should be able to feel the transducer making "thumping" feelings (might even be able to hear it clicking).  If so .... it should be good to go for the install on the kayak.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions you don't want to ask in public.

Fishcomb-

Because I also enjoy eating. Which I already can't do for several months haha. Ok i'm exaggerating but I just had an ER vet bill for my puppy which hurt even more. And I got a parking ticket buying the yak. Not to mention im going on a 211 mile hike next month abd need to start preparing a ton of food and buy some more  gear. Lucky me.

That power plug should have 3 sets of wires in black shielding coming out of it.  The ONLY set you need to hook up will have a red, black and white coming out of it.  Red to Positive (+) on battery & Black to Negative (-) on battery.  Nothing needed with the white wire.  The other two sets of wires can just be coiled up inside the hullafter you pass that bundle of wires thru a bulkhead/feedthru cap.

This unit was the cat's meow in it's day!  It was my "go-to" unit when I had customers interested in FF units when I worked at West Marine.

It's easy,,     just plug part A, into  part B.    route cable C along it's axis and connect to power..
See how easy that was.  :smt003

Yeah JMT. Going to finish this time. Last year I nearly died. Exited at devils post pile coughing up blood. Brain swelling in my skull. All sorts of ate up.

From altitude sickness?  And what does JMT stand for?
As for the FF install have you thought about where you want to mount the FF?  Mast hole mount (requires a long reach to change settings)?  Use a Mad Frog Liberator mount with a transducer arm?  Or do you want the transducer mounted out of the way and shoot through in the hull?  YakAttack has a lot of ideas and gear to mount FF and transducers also.

Yes altitude sickness.

I think I'm just going to take it to headwaters and have a bunch of stuff put on.

It looks, by the picture, that you have two transducers.  The smaller one in the left side of the picture looks to be the 83/200 (freshwater/shallower) transducer & the one to the right (larger) looks to be the 50/200 (deeper/saltwater use).  The freshwater/saltwater/deep/shallow are "generalized".  I can offer up better details if needed.
