Hello from up North

Well... I've been a member of NWKA for a bit over two years now and about 9 months ago started working at the Kayak Shed up here in Hood River, OR. This isn't a Kayak Shed promotional post I promise, but we do thank those of you who have ordered from us. I figured I would finally sign up and check out what was going on in the area of my birth.

I'm currently pedaling a 2014 Olive Outback, but have my eye on several other boats, since I look at them everyday at work. Favorite species to chase has got to be salmon but can't say that I'm all that successful at catching them. I'm working on expanding my targeted species list vastly this year. Planning a couple trips to do that. I really enjoyed the article about PolePole and some other folk's trip down the John Day river up here. So that is on the to-do list for this year.

Also really hoping to get a trip to Baja in around Christmas time. It'll be nice to get away from the drizzle of the Northwest around then for a bit of sun. I'd be really interested in some info from any of you guys that have made trips down there. Thanks for any bit of info or tip you can provide me with.
