Nice colors, hella fishy. BTW what is the hook size/weight of those jig heads? How was the process easy and fun?

Bought the Do-it #9 shadhead mold to pour 1.5, 2, 2.5 oz heads with 7/0 hooks and was able to fit 5/0 hooks in it as well. the 7/0 is perfect for 6"-8" baits and the 5/0 is good for the 5" baits. Then bought the molds from lurecraft for the swimbaits I got a mold for 5" and 6.25". All said and done I probably have about 80$ into the jigheads and maybe about the same into the swimbaits. If you don't use a lot it probably isn't worth it cost wise but that's not really why I did it, it is mostly for fun. I have about 50# worth of heads poured now. I probably should sell some just to be able to invest in another mold or more materials. The learning curve isn't really steep it does take a while to get the multiple color pours perfected. Oh and I would have had to invest more than I stated but my dad had a lot of the stuff that I borrowed for the plastics (glitter, coloring. glow pigment, hot plate, pouring cups). Also I got all the lead for free and borrowed the lead pot as well.

Thanks guys it is pretty fun to play with color combos. I will post some pics of different colors as I go along. I may list some jigheads, in the classifieds forum maybe even some swimbaits , for sale or trade not looking to get rich just buy more plastic or something. Don't want to step on anyones toes who already sells them either.  Its kind of a good beer drinking hobby in the off season. :beer1

Great looking swimbaits.  This is very cool, and I'm sure it'll be that more satisfying when you land some hogs on your own jig and swimbait.

Those colors are great. My favorite big ling pattern is chartreuse bottom with a 1/4 inch blue then 1/4 inch green top.

The purple and green one is glow in the dark, I put more glow pigment in than I needed so it is super bright.
