I fished solo at Ocean Cove today.  Conditions were pretty nice but the fish were not biting for me.  I fished my ass off for just a few small rockfish that I released.  I didn't see anyone with a Ling at the fish cleaning station but I did see a few nice Vermillions and Blacks.  I talked to a diver who said the vis was about 8-10 feet.  The campground was half empty, and there were spots open overlooking the ocean.

We had the exact same results up the coast in Mendo.  Marked lots of fish, but couldn't catch anything.  Thanks for the report.

Yea, it was pretty frustrating.  They were stacked up on the bottom but just wouldn't bite.

Hey Travis,

We did end up at Ft Ross, caught limits of medium coppers and a couple of big blues.  I did manage to snag a 25" ling in the belly.  I don't care how it was caught... I had a ling in the Kayak.  Going deer hunting this next weekend, but hopefully I'll be out on the water soon.
