Hey all,

Recent events have shown me that I need a kayak with a larger weight capacity to embark upon my foolish ventures. This kayak has served me well for the past year, always hauling around 300lbs+ of fat dude, dive equipment, and fish. I've taken it out in 8ft swells, waves crashing over the bow, with a completely swamped deck, and returned with a bone dry hull.

Two large hatches. I can get all my dive gear in the front hatch, fish in the back. It only needs a coarse threaded drain plug because the tab is broken on this one ($5), and a second gasket for the rear lid if you're taking it out in swells ($15). The Scupper Pros of this era  only have a gasket on the lid, and not the deck. This has a gasket on both.

Kayak is currently in Redwood City.

Thanks!

LOL Garett. I really don't want to get rid of it, or seem ungrateful. Lots of memories! Just putting out feelers to pass it on and help someone out if they need a beginner kayak, [and my lady said I had to a least make a posting to fund the tandem I picked up yesterday :) ].

I still have my Aquaterra Prism, now a loaner boat. Good stable light yak that paddles well. I've launched off beachs as well as taken it out the mouth of the Russian river where I once  mistimed a breaker and almost pitch poled. Yak did fine and shed the water well. Plenty of storage but the sides are low so total weight load has to be factored in. A good buy in my opinion.

That's a solid kayak that you're selling and a good price.
What tandem did u get?

You're def going to need a kayak with a higher weight capacity for lead salvaging.

Just got a Cobra Tandem yesterday. 600lb capacity FTW! Has a couple footrests so I can mount a seat in the middle and paddle solo. It's super dorky and I'm sure I'll pass it on in a month or so.

My baby's staying in the spearo family, and the guy got a hell of a deal. :smt001 Found someone who dives the same spots I do, and it's his first single kayak. How cute!
