You staying local or heading out of town?

Either way, Good Luck.

I live in rohnert park. Just heading over to private land in petaluma. So not too far.

Woke up at 5am, and it was pouring down rain. Hunting all wet isnt too fun! O well there is still 50 more days. Probably go out tuesday or wednesday maybe thursday. If anyone wants to do a turkey hunt hookup just send me a PM. Hopefully the rain didnt scare the rest of you guys off like it did me! haha  :smt003

stayed home sick today and called in 4 Toms from the couch
early in the am right as they leave the roost
they are pretty stupid this time of year (like bucks in rut)
they were responding from two hills away!
Kmilz-good luck, pm me if you need a place to hunt in the foothills

here is a pic I took,
tommyD

I'd take you up on that Tommy. :smt002

It was an expensive hunt this morning. My neighbor winged one right off the bat and the rest of the morning was spent trying to down that bird. The wounded bird split off from the pack and headed to a far fence line. I rode my bike out in the fields and managed two long shots (losing both arrows) at the tom when he was hesitant at another fence crossing. He's got a limp and should be easy to spot amongst the others. Hopefully we can get back out and spot the bird before the 4:00 pm shut off.

While riding my bike this morning to the fields I spotted many groups of birds but they were all on property we don't have permission to hunt.
