Im thinking of picking up a action cam for the water, looking at the Garmin Virb... looks great but I want to see what everyone else is using.
Pros and cons of each.
Like the battery life of the garmin is almost 3 hours of continuous shooting as per a youtube vid I was watching.

I want the latest gen sony..it has the wrist watch and a simple tap goes back and saves stuff to a previous time...i think ten minutes or 5.....then records everything till you tap again.....so lets say you hook a fish...and land it...tap the watch and 10 minutes back is saved...no turning on or off or missed stuff...it tapes non stop....see a shark all of a sudden or splashing fish/bird...it can be  saved...cause it is watching and not saving till you tell it...
We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be.

I want to stay as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all kinds of things you can't see from the center.

People aren’t supposed to look back. I’m certainly not going to do it anymore.”

That's gotta kill the battery, but sounds badass!

Hi Craig,
I don't see any specs on the loop recording function.  My Drift Ghost HD does this and It's the way to go.  That Sony remote looks awesome.

yeah ---- I am out the door and was hoping that "loop record" function was talked about in that c-net review..I trust their reviews kind of...I'll check your ghost drift out too...I would think "loop record" or save back  etc...would be the way to go on a kayak...I broke every watch I've ever had period ,so that scares me....with the sony that is....

need to design a ball cap camera that you just tap the top of the cap and it saves the last 4 minutes and then go back to passive when you tap again...be a millionaire

I am out the door with fresh tied perch grub on a light action lamiglas...rained hard as heck all night here in Carmel valley and the bright sun if playing with a king kong island fog over on carmel beach..incoming tide till 10 a.m...gotta run boys

I want a better action cam and a better way to wear it than some cyborg head band...good thread here...even if it has been threaded a bunch already...new stuff and more reviews to the talk
