A new one for me

I got a chance to get off work a little early on Thursday and head over to the Napa River and try my luck for some sturgeon. No luck on the sturgeon which is not new for me. I was anchored just north of the southern crossing highway 29 bridge. Napajustin was also fishing the area on his striper. At the time he was anchored withing sight and we had been communicating a little on the radio. I saw what looked to be a game warden on shore trying to talk to him. I couldn't hear what was being said. After the "warden" leaves, Napajustin gets on the radio and says it was a sheriff that thought I needed help. I have a nice tall orange safety flag and I guess he thought it was a distress flag. He must have driven over the bridge and seen me down on the water fishing, so he came to check on me. That was a new one on me.

The flag is also supposed to be 3 ft. by 3 ft; a bit much for a kayak.
