I was on shore yesterday changing from my dive socks to my booties so that I can properly walk around and stow my gear. When a wave comes in and starts taking my buddies yak into the water with his hatch open.  I lunge forward to grab his yak with one sock on and one sock off. The force of my lunge on the downward slope as reach for his  yak caused my big toe to go right through my new Mares sock   :smt013

Wanted to know what's the best way to fix the tear or do I need to buy another new pair.

Here's a couple of pics the tear is on top of the sock and a little over an inch long.

Thanks,
Antonio

Why when I can always have you gnaw them off for me........you kinky bastard.

BTW my nails were clipped it was caused by the force of the lunge.

Get some neoprene glue, will be (almost) good as new.

Yeah that's what I was thinking but wanted to see if there were any other options out there.
Thanks Jon

Just remember to read and follow the instructions,  it doesn't apply like regular glue.

Freedive socks that are open cell inside will always tear very easily.  You can glue them but they're going to tear again.  The Argos socks are nylon lined inside and out.  I've had mine for two seasons when regular freedive socks only last a month or two at most.

Get some Argos socks.  They're pretty cheap too.

Picked up some neoprene cement (recommended by the owner of Diver Dans) and also a new pair of Argos socks. Now I have backup  :smt001
