I hope to be out there too.  No VHF yet (that is the next investment), but I will be in the Yellow Jackson.

It has been decent, not red hot.  Caught and released 2 last Sunday,  all in the middle of the UC Davis rowing meet but that's a whole different story along with the conversation I had with the dumbasses in the boats officiating the races.  Not much size to them both just shy of 22".  Hopefully the incoming tide in the AM will be better and the dumbasses in the boat are somewhere else.

How'd you do today

Got there as planned at 6AM.  On the water without a hitch.  Slow, really slow, trolled minnows from the bridge to the cement docks, and then into the turn basin.  The pattern was a zig zag pattern the whole way to find the bait balls and the stripers usually mixed in.  No bait found the whole day.  Really worked hard to find just a very few suspended arches anywhere between 15 and 20 feet down.  I really had to trust the electronics today.  Now to the meat and potatoes.  1 take down all day.  Ended up with 1 striper between the first set of docks and the bride on the way in.  Blank FF screen with one arch on the display.  Put the minnow right at the depth of the arch and fish on.  20 inch striper to the net.  That was it.  Made it back to the ramp and gifted it to a father and son fishing the ramp.
