Eastman lake 3-9-14

Took my son out to Eastman today to see if the bass are up yet. I have not been there since last summer. It is low but the ramp is still usable. We got there about 645am and were the second boat on the lake. The sunrise was spectacular and the sky was on fire.


We fished a bit and finally got a bite on a 6" Trick Motor oil worm. This led to a total of six small bass AND a 20" 3lb Rainbow. I thot I had hooked a bigger bass, but it turned out the trout like drop shot worms too.

We called it quits at about 2pm and headed in. Water was 57 at the start and warmed up to 59 with mostly cloudy skies.

Yes trout do bite drop shots.its not used that often so its still a down low method
