What are your goals this year for AOTY?

The last couple of years I signed up for AOTY to support the site; however, I did not do much with it, but then again the fish I catch and time was limited so it just did not happen. This year I am going to use it to as a indictor in my personal goals to get out more... time on the water really reduces stress factors.

My goal is to try to catch ten species... sorry folks the points may not be big, but if I can journey to new waters and places that may create more adventure with the boys and/or just get free for awhile that would be great!. Ten species here we go! 

Great question. My goal is to do well but really I'm looking forward to targeting or rather learning to target species I normally never fish for on a regular basis. I think this type of experience will not only make me a better all around angler but all that otw therapy will make me a bit less grumpy.   

Well that's what I tell my wife anyways.

To catch at least 1 or more species than last year.

To fish more than I have the first two months  , 10 species is a good goal that I would like to shoot for. Keep me in mind when posting hookups Dave, I'll see if I can sneak away.

It's more motivation for me to chase after some new species on the kayak.  Stuff like mackinaw, kokanee, stripers, etc.  It's also a good motivator to fish more frequently for my "usual" targets like trout and smallmouth, to see just how big of a fish I can catch of those species.

I think it'll be real interesting to see where the bass fishing takes me: rather than going for action/numbers, I've been researching the best ways to catch the largest bass, and hope to employ those tactics once things warm up a bit up here.  Can't use live bait in Plumas County, so it'll have to be an artificial affair unless I choose to venture to Clear Lake.  Seems everyone goes there for their AOTY ditch pickles.

If I can place anywhere in the Top Ten, I'll be  .
