My Son Colton, played his last high school soccer game today. The D1 Nor Cal section Championship against PV from Chico. They lost 3-1, what a great game, I could not be prouder for our boys, sorry Young Men. Colton had a hell of a game, his job was to shut down the leagues number one scorer, and he did just that, he held him to 0 points. As flustered as he was I don't think he has had someone defend him that well, Colton was all over him, and he only got off a few bad shots. The Good news for Colton is that the College coach came up to him and said, " Hell of a game you had, I will give you Monday to rest up from it, but Tuesday be on the field to start practice with the College team." Ever since he started playing, age 4 I have only missed one game, three weeks ago when I had to go to Las Vegas for work. Any of you that know me, I am a sales Rep that covers Northern calif, Santa Rosa north, and the whole state of Oregon, and have his whole life. So to only miss one game is pretty special, I have driven 7 hrs to make more than one game. It was a wonderful time all these years watching him play, the time just goes by way to fast !!!!!!!!! I know for me and the other parents that have watched our four year old boys, grow into very good young Men, this was a sad day for us, and not because they lost the Ship!!!!!!!!!!

We can't wait for them to grow up.  Then there is a little sadness mixed with more pride and happiness as they become adults.  I know what you are going through.  Even though I grumbled a bit, for me the time and miles were worth it.  Next will be the grand kids games.  Enjoy the ride.  :smt006

awesome accomplishment as a parent to be at all the games like you did.  I am sure your son knows this but will understand it better when he is a parent himself.
