I think I might have found a cure for this. I love my T140 wilderness sys boat. It is from 2009ish.I have stuff bolted all over it but over the years it has kinda sunk in the seat area allowing the center hatch to  become a water inlet :smt009 Rain/water puddles on the backside (sunk down) and finds it's way into the hatch. After a rain I get a Quart of water in the hull. The hatch lid is tight and seals most water out but, now with water sitting at entery level... Needed to un-squish my boat soooo.... Went and bought 2 inner tubes... 18X8.50/9.50-8 and an 8.50X8 trailer tire tubes. Placed one inside in foot well/deck area and filled it a bit (raised deck!) then I put the larger one under seat are and filled it enough to get some upward pressure in seat area. Put the heat lamps on it and watched it reform!!!! thought wow! Problem solved... then as it got hotter :smt103 boat started to bulge! so let out some air... I'm confident this is going to help with the wheezing in and out of air as I sit on the kayak  (sucking water in when I get off) Going to find some fill stem extenders (RV type) to make it easyer to fill or drain them and put a small ball pump in my gear bag. Won't sink now either. Will update after I get OTW with this set up and let y'all know if it's as good a solution as I think it is :smt044 New life for my favorite Kayak!!!! :smt003
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

That's a great idea!!! Have you looked inside the Jackson kayaks  they have a dense foam block placed vertically might be more of a permanent fix than a tube.

Sounds like a good idea, but still probably smart to do a leak test, just in case.  You can't be sure where the water is leaking in without it.
