Made my first crate! :smt003
Added a handle in the middle for easier carrying purposes, can also be extended for more height or removed.

The rod leashes were super easy to make and I think they work pretty well. Made from old phone charges, zip ties, and small cable cuffs.

I wish I could think of all this stuff myself, but I followed the instructions on http://palmettokayakfishing.blogspot.com/

Love how you heated them flared the ends of the pvc, so simple but effective and useful.  It is the simple things I never think of.
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

ah, the old trusty crate. I never get tired of seeing new versions. I love my plano, but the crate is just such an iconic piece for yak fishing.

Nicely done.

nice crate dan.

i hate having rod leashes; those things are so annoying. That's why i use the floats on my rods :smt005

i hate my paddle leash too but i don't want to lose my paddle out in sea  :smt044

Yes, we all (most of us) started using "The Crate". Eventually, graduated to the orange Plano box. Be careful with leashes. Keep them to a minimum. I only use floats on my rods.
