Ive got an opportunity to go to Costa, specifically Jaco beach, its kinda last minute. Jaco seems to be a real popular fishing destination. They also rent kayak!!Any tips, opinions or whatever appreciated. Trying make a decision!

That is a lot further north than where I have been, and there is a lot more fishing operations to look into. Jaco is also a tourist place, so watch who, what, where, and when you go anywhere. You might sign onto Bloody Decks forum, they have a Costa Rica section. Either way good luck and post pics!!!

If you want to fish for in-shore species you have to be specific and forceful. They will want to take you out 10 miles and troll big stuff for 8 hrs hoping for Marlin.

Steer clear of the Beetle Bar.  Went there in 2008 and let's just say I was the only guy that brought a girl into the place.  All other guys were "fishing" for the under age females with $$$ as the bait if you catch my drift...
