Congratulations May brothers on another great showing.  That is the way to defend your title.

Thanks Adam, Jacks!  I really enjoy the team format and how it makes you work as...a team.  It's like "Okay, so-and-so needs a big rockfish so let's help him find a school of quality blacks," or "I'm going to work the shallows until I find a cluster of greenling, then let the team know so they can come over and get their greenling." I think it adds an entire new dimension of teamwork and camaraderie to the tournament, and really hope it's carried over into GS-9 and beyond.

+1, well said Chris and congrats to you guys for back to back wins. I was shocked that we took 2nd ( with only 1 of 4 doing C & R ) my camera died a week before GS8  :smt012

Thanks Adam for doing this again.....
Remember to practice safe knots, because big fish don't just break your line, they also break your heart.

OUCH!   :smt010 :smt044

I hooked what felt like a big ling on an early drop,  it broke off.  I hooked a 23.5" ling about an hour and a half in.  By that time,  Yakhopper had three species already.  Everything was hitting his irons.   My game plan was a little weak,  I would prepare differently next time.  We hit a lot of different spots and then trolled out for salmon with no take downs.  I went in a little before Yakhopper did.  My shoulder was not doing well.  I'm going to join the dark side shortly.  To AI or not to AI,  that is the question.  I'm sure my budget is more like a well used Revo.  We really missed you.  I'm glad you spent your time in the most noble pursuit there is,  caring for your family.  I still need to get Yakhopper a few bucks for the awesome t-shirt.
