I've been fishing most of my 55 years, mostly from shore.  Did some kayaking about 12 years ago.  Just recently realized that these two sports have been combined so I'm exploring the idea.  Haven't made a decision which fishing kayak to get yet.  The last kayak I bought was sight unseen, so was a very expensive blunder.  This time I want to make sure I've taken the model out before I buy.  I went down to MBK at Elkhorn Slough today and demo'd the Trident 13 - really enjoyable, stable ride.  But Elkhorn is very calm, not a good test of ocean waters.   I'd like something that I could take offshore from Linda Mar during those nice calm Fall days.

Once I get going...really looking forward to making some new fishing friends.

Welcome Neil. Trident 13 was my first yak and would get it again if I can two yak. That's smart that you are demoing before you buy.
