Fun to watch them grab walnuts off the ground, fly up in the air and drop them on the asphalt to break them open. 

My dad said his crazy uncle used to climb the banks near Shandon and steal the babies from the nests to use as pets.  I am sure my dad had a pet crow at one point. 

Maybe his pet was in our neighborhood years ago. There was a crow that would crow like a rooster, around my house at one time. We used to have a whole flock that would be here. One neighbor didn't like the mess. So he shot one off the pole by his house. From then on all of them gave his house a wide birth.
