My son and I boated out of Trinidad Saturday 2/1 to set a crab pot near the bell buoy and run the crab ring.  Only hooped up two undersized crab to toss back, and left the pot to soak overnight. Took 20 mussels and made them up for Saturday dinner.   Sunday the ocean had kicked up more than predicted, so I left the kid at home and went to check conditions. the ocean turned out to be no problem with several other guys out as well.  The pot had one nice keeper and then three females that I tossed back.  We did good with crab early in the season but the report for Trinidad this winter has been slow crabbing. Our solo crab was part of the Super Bowl Feed.

Yes he really wanted to on that platform which is probably a CG discouraged activity.  Lucky no Sea lions decided to join him.
