Got a chance to pull together a video from my last trip out on Shasta Superbowl Saturday, launched at Jones Valley and straight into the Pit Arm, worked up the Squaw when the wind picked up and blew us back into the Pit.  Bite started slow in the 50' range, as the temps crept up a few degrees that bite turned on about 10am.  Secret agents, 30-40', near any tree in the Pit Arm...not quite fish-in-a-barrel, but a hell of a winter day.  :smt001

Lots of birds and a few crashing fish in the main body got my interest up, but the bass were too fun to be drawn into any trout-trolling this trip.  If you've ever wanted to cross a 100-fish day off your bucket list, Shasta this April-June is where you should be.  :smt001

Tight Lines,

Kick ass video Ben, I have to learn how to use mine, and edit! There is a ton of action going on there right now. Jesse and I have been getting some nice ones up at the Dam. Going this Saturday if all my plans work out. We need some KW points.  :smt044

Saturday eh Jeff?  That's gonna be a tough one for me, but I do have Monday off and relatively open.  Saturday is looking a little rainy/windy too.  I think Bryan is heading out today, we'll see how he does.  Just can't buy a spot over 15" this year!  :smt001

Nice Ben, gotta love Shasta!

I've caught 120 points total in spots the last three times I've been out, but like a dumb-dumb I forgot my hawg trough, then I forgot my gopro, then I remembered both but forgot to take pics before loading up and heading out!

This pic is Lowell's pops with a bycatch shot from drop-shotting two days ago. Sorry bout' the jack Ben!

I'm down if you're going Jeff. I want to fly line shad at digger while bassin. Some big trout in there at the moment.

Glad to hear you guys are into the fish Jesse, one of these days the stars will align and we'll all be able to get out together.  That's some dandy bycatch too by the way!

I might be able to break away Monday Ben. I'm looking forward to catching my first brown of the year too; and I don't plan on getting it as a bycatch!
