My wife read on Albion campgrounds Facebook page that on the 12th of Jan they had a 24' westerly swell and a 6' tide. The surge washed the docks up river and broke the ramps loose. Yikes!!

 

WOW!!I hope they fix it before NCKA's Albion trip. Either way its the one trip that I can get the whole family to join in.

Mother nature has her mean side.
Too bad it wasn't caught on video. Not for the destructive part, but just to see the volume of the surge going up river.
Stuff like that always amazes me. You get used to seeing something one way it's hard to imagine it another. It blows me away when I see it.

Imagine if it had been a wet January and a heavy run-off was added to that?  It could have taken out the campground!!
