Folsom lake FYI - must read if going to Folsom

Just went to Browns Ravine for a look and noticed they blocked the ramp down. So you can no longer drive down to the water. You must park in the parking lot and walk your yak all the way down if you want to fish. Not sure of the other launches, just Browns.

Thanks Scott, Think they did that to discourage driving across the lakebed?

Probably got tired of pulling idiots out of the mud.  I'll ask next time I go by there.  And I'll check Granite Bay launch next week when I go to the lake for my meeting.

That would suck not to be able to drive that far.

You can still launch out of Granite Bay...was there on Super Bowl Sunday and they have a pretty good launch location...if fishing for trout, fish directly out in front of the launch ramp and troll towards the dam...we got 5 (Up to 18") on a broken back rapala (With a white curly tail jig on the back hook)....yes it is a perfect striper setup, but the trout in Folsom lake like it.  Caught all 5 fish...my other lure choices did not work (Needlefish, kastmaster, countdown, and a variety of spoons).
