Had a few hours on Saturday morning (12/28), took a drive to some of the launches on Shasta for a status check.  Packers Bay is one of my favorites, it's closed.  Might be able to wheel the yak to the waters edge but it's a long walk from the parking area.  Bridge Bay looked much better, they at least still have pavement and a $10 launch fee.  Next stop was Centimudi, the main ramp here ends in mud, with a small access road to the right leading to ramp #2.  Pretty busy spot, about the only game in town for the south half of the lake.

Jones Valley is on ramp #3, all the way out on the Pit Arm itself.  Sugarloaf (Lakehead area) also shows as open, and that's it.  Let's hope for a soggy spring!

Thanks for the report and pictures. It is nice knowing what to expect and especially for the members who live out of town. I guess it would have been nice for me to do the same when I was at Trinity lake last weekend and I drove around it to check a few spots. Anyways it looks just as bad as Shasta lake  :smt009. Thanks again

No fishing? Thinking of going out this week.
