I always enjoyed seeing those who fished off Kayak from my CABO 216. What I never realize was what expense these folks invested to be on the water. They all seemed to be dressed like they were going to a party while we were fishing out pass Muir Beach outside the Golden Gate for Halibut. I was impressed how far they traveled to be where we were knowingly they had to paddle back under the gate. Now after seeing how many of you dress for the ocean,  dry suit is not inexpensive but can see the reason of having one. A fully rigged kayak is costly when completed. Almost the same cost if you have a GPS, fish finder, live bait tank and marine VHF radio. For now I need to save for a dry suit before heading out of Moss Landing for Salmon and if the bite goes off for sure White Sea Bass. My favorite eating fish. I can't wait to try my skills at one of our local lakes for Trout with my new to me sled.
