Union Valley Reservoir closed? Any info?

Tried to go to UVR today with my dad, every gate was closed and locked except one very rough road, not sure if it led to a usable launch or not ( I think it was taking us to the dam?) is the lake too low to launch now or did we just miss something?

You totally missed something.
I just got back from there.
That pot hole filled road (Peavine Ridge Road) takes you towards the back side of the lake.
There is one road you make a right turn on from Peavine to get to the west side (dam side) of the lake. That's the only thing open year round. The other campgrounds are closed for the winter.
I'm guessing you tried to go to the Peninsula??

I didn't fish it.Went up to pull someone out of the snow near Wrights Lake. I stopped at the heliport to check it out. I've seen it a lot lower in the past than it is right now.
I took Peavine past the turn off for the dam. I was looking for a good place to go shooting.
Saw a lot of boats leaving the damn area around 5pm.
Where did you hear it was totally closed to fishing?

Jesus, yea went for the peninsula and the kept following ice house rd around looking for anything. Thanks for the info... What a waste of a Sunday
