Topic: Big Skate - San Francisco Bay? (Read 1069 times)

Was at the bait shop today, heard someone caught something at Alameda Rockwall with two black circles, curious to know if anyone has seen these around SF bay?

I have caught several large bat rays but nothing like this.

They are not uncommon in the bay. Just not as ubiquitous as our friends the bat rays.

Interesting.....

I've caught other skates in the bay occasionally but never a "big skate". And of course lots of bat rays.

Cool looking animal.
