So im a big 0 for 4 at Mendo. This is in my boat but ive been using my oars to troll so I figured im almost there! :smt004

But yeah, ive been out there 4 times all early in the morning, bait hasnt been an issue as im stocked up in 15 min or less. ive been using the right setup but no love.  Been fishing the north east side and over by the south west launch but nothing.. Funny thing even though it doesnt mean fish, but no boils this whole time.  Just wondering if this is a slow time there or if I just suck right now! :smt013  haha.. either way its always fun.

Any tips?

Sean, Share some tips!

Last time I was at Mendo (end of July around 5pm) I paddled into a boil on the south side of the dam. Couldnt get a fish to bite my line though.

Are we talking about monday vs the weekend?  :smt003   Well I have spent two of those days on weekdays out there with hardly anyone around, still no love.

Ofcourse I read Sean's article like 5 times now, thinking im missing something.

Is it legal to use a very small large mouth bass as bait?  I know blue gills are off limits but those small bass dont die!.  :smt004

And I am lucky being only an hour away.

It simply ain't the right time of year.  You can get them now, but its REAL spotty. Spring is good, fall is premium.  A few more weeks and it should be going full blast.
