Went to my first ISE in Sac on Thursday.

Fist stop was to meet Danglin (Don) and drop off some gear for a donation. Learned about HOW and the great work they`re doing with our Vets. After talking with Don ,I look forward to volunteering (I was a Navy Corpsman 1980-1986 and a have a soft spot for Sailors and Marines)and made me realize how easy it is to get caught up in my own stuff..Thanks for the chat Don.

Then I stopped and chatted with the guys at Headwaters and  Wilderness and asked all the Noob questions I could, as obvious and redundant as I was ,at both booths they were very helpful, not just about kayaks but safety, rigging,clothing,rods,reels,etc,etc... probably tried they`re patience for sure. Even though I didn't purchase a kayak everyone was helpful anyway.

Glad to hear you had a good time at ISE. I can't wait for Saturday and Sunday to get here so I can go
Something you will notice (or at least I have noticed) is the majority if not all of the kayak fishing community is super friendly and ready to help new people get into the sport. It's real refreshing to find a group of good people now days

This was also a first for me and I found the Kayak guys to be of great help and I got to meet a few members from this board.  I want to me amazed at how helpful the the group is, but I guess I shouldn't be surprised.  I look forward to meeting you all out on the water.
