Great to be a member now. I'm not a big internet poster, facebook user or even much of a lurker.
I have watched this forum for a few years and found links to videos and photos that have been fun and informative. I have had two sot for about 7 years and mostly go to Lake Eleanor, Spicer. Union and Utica. Mostly camping from the kayak with some fish feeding.
I'm here to learn more, actually catch fish instead of just feeding them and join others to fish.
I want to learn about fishing in the east bay and delta, Monterey, Half Moon Bay and valley lakes and rivers. I need to learn about fish id and techniques.
I really want to learn how to launch on an ocean beach. I pretty sure if I tried it by myself it would be ugly, very ugly and detrimental to my health. I've read and watched videos but it all looks too easy on the tiny screen.
I would love to hear from anyone in the Modesto area to see if all the kayaks I see on top of vehicles are just decoration or are they for camping, fishing or whatever.
I hope I can contribute something positive soon!

Oh and I forgot to mention that I fish and camp at Mod Res often. Great place to start getting to know your boat.
