Looking at the tides monday and tuesday we have some really big minus tide, great for clamming, probably not the best for perch.

But regardles  I was going to take the GF out and  go perch/sharking beforehand and clamming when the tide gets low, maybe keep the shark rod out.

Anyways any one have any tips or advice on clamming? as well as any specific spots at pilar point to go?? I have never gone clamming before,  We have shovels 5 galleon buckets, was going to pick up a clam guage and clam gun

Well yep there are clams there, and yes it takes a lot of digging to get them, ended up getting 10 gappers and 2 other little clams not cockles, maybe butter clams,

Had maybe 2 dozen of the ones I think are butter, and cockles, and a small undamaged gapers that I tossed back.

It ended up being a GF watch me dig exercise

Went backtoday since the tide was lower, got a few more of the horse necks looked around some more since the tide was out further, found a few razor clams, though most were to small, went out on the inside of the breakers because there was a nice snd spit there, and a couple people clamming and poke poling  there, found more horsenecks and saw holes that I assume were for gooey ducts, at least dug down 4 ish feet and never got to the the clam
