Hi all, my name is Jake and I am from Woodland; happy to be joining the forum. I have always loved fishing ever since I was a kid poking around in Sierra streams and Folsom Lake for trout. For the past five years or so I have grown to love bass fishing, I love the pursuit, and adjustment needed to get some of our finicky norcal bass to bite. I decided to take the dive into kayak angling back in October when I purchased my WS ride 115 and haven't looked back since. I have had numerous trips to Folsom this "winter" for spotted bass, as well as trips to rancho seco and Amador for trout. I have been to the port of sac for stripers a couple of times only coming away with a skunk both times although I have told myself that the third time will be the charm(it better b cause I won't leave without one). I love the pull that fighting a fish give to the yak and there just seems to be something different to being so close to the water while fishing. I am looking foreword to the spawning season and will be planning trips to Folsom, Berryessa, and Clearlake. I am always looking of new fishing buddies that share the same passion for the sports as I do, if any of you ever want to get out and do some fishing just let me know, unlit then I will enjoy surfing all of your posts and the forums.

Tight lines and keep the yaks upright

Welcome!
Don't give up on the port. There are a lot of bass back in the shipwreck area.

Welcome to the club.  There are lots of members in the Sac area and plenty of quality hookups and tournaments.  See you OTW.   :smt001

Being an honorable sportsman is way more important than what you catch.

Welcome to the club.  Places like the port just take a little extra work to dial in, then the season/weather changes  ;)
