Chris here.

I am new to the forum and this is my first post. I have been an avid angler my whole life although I have never fished from a kayak. I don't have one yet but plan on buying one this spring/summer. I just recently had back surgery resulting from a work injury so I can't get in and out of one yet.

I cannot wait to buy my first kayak and hit the water with you folks. Until then you can catch me in the surf at Baker beach. Mostly I fish for crab there although I missed the season (thus far) due to my surgery.

I just saw the post for the salmon derby at Lake B in April 2014. LOOKING FORWARD TO THAT!!!

So……I am thinking of a PA14 as I am 6'5/230#'s. I like the ay the mirage drive looks and gives you some hands free.

Waters i am looking forward to fishing….

1. Lake Tahoe
2. American river for steelhead

A little afraid of the ocean, well……sharks so I may need your help on that.

Also I am VET from OIF1/OEF1, so any HOW folks on here please reach out!!!!

Welcome to NCKA Chris.  There are several HOW folks here so I am sure they will chime in.

Wish you a speedy recovery and see you on the water sometime.
If you ain't first, you're last.
