After reading everyone's salt therapy reports for awhile and thinking I would not get into my yak for sometime I had some lucky timing as I was able to get out to Lake Shasta (Jones Valley - real low!) twice before Thanksgiving crowd came in from out of town. I actually took some GoPro footage of two beautiful evenings and one great clip of my rod going bendo as a trout strikes. My problem is I can not figure out how to turn this footage to an iMovie yet.  :smt044 I tried but no luck yet. :smt001

I did end up with two trout each evening and missed a few more. Caught two on a 1/4 oz Kastmaster and two on a Rapala. Decent size ~14 to 15 inches and chucky as a footballs. The first evening the two came as a double hook up which was fun trying to get the second one in...again great footage of the mess.

I know no pics...did not happen... :smt044 Some day soon I will add the video. :smt006

New loner version added to you tube...my first!

I'm glad you were able to get out there, Dave.

When I had GoPro's I also had trouble converting the files to usable for what I edit with.  I need easy...

Good luck.   :smt001

Congrats on the fish.
I was up there too, fishing at siskiyou. I was kinda shocked seeing how low the water was. Parts of shasta looked more like a creek than a lake.

WTG Dave, I also made it out to JV last week for a few hours to play with my new FF. Landed a 15" & 17" and lost a 19"-20"  six feet from the yak, also caught a 12" bass along the way. The pink Mad River worms drew the most attention and several missed opportunities  :smt012. PM jbaker about the GoPro as he recently got one also.

Nice video Dave, the #2 fish looked like a Pit River strain ( black spots on the belly = good eating  :smt003)
P.S.- keep pedaling with a double hook-up, less lost fish that way.
