Long overdue intro post...my name is Josh, got my first kayak a few months ago - picked up a demo T13 in Urban Camo from Clayey. Been taking my time gearing up and can't say how beneficial this community/website has been. Top notch! I live in Marin, so have been doing my sea trials out of Paradise and China Camp. Spent a lot of time on this board lurking in order to glean as much knowledge from you all as possible. Thanks again.

After several successful trips out on the Bay I feel as though I'm ready for some inshore salt. Again, high emphasis on safety - in addition to standard safety gear, I've got my wetsuit and VHF. Went with the SH 300HX. Outside of that, I've spent a ton of time reading through the safety section of the forum.

Geared up for crabbing and fishing - can't wait for Muir to re-open to get out. For anybody wondering, it's slated for Dec 14th. This after being pushed twice from Nov 21 to Nov 27 and now at Dec 14. Spoke to some NPS folks last Tuesday when I was out there checking things out. They said it's going to be close...fingers crossed!

Anyways, thanks again for creating/hosting/contributing to such a great website. Invaluable to a newbie like me. Looking forward to hooking up in the future.

Josh

TamFish, I agree with Jedmo, that's a great intro. We paddle the same kayak; I look forward to seeing you on the water.  :smt006
